Goin' MiMi's

Jase turns 4months this thursday and we are looking to introduce baby food into his diet. He is sleeping well through the night already, mom has to get up once to feed at about three. In do time we will consider introducing formula, but it looks like we don't need that yet.
We had a very exciting weekend of drive-ins, parties and biking. Jase is found to be a home body and not very happy with being over stimulated. With all the passing around and different locations he proved to be a little too fussy. Mom handles him well and he is able to calm down with each passing cry.
Grandma continues to watch Jase during the week and is having a great time walking and playing with the growing boy. I am sure to get a lot of fun photos like this one.
Siara get’s J dog a couple times during the week and is also having a great time. I am sure the first day of dealing with three younglings was tough, but the last time I went to pick Jase up, she was in high spirits. Like Grandma Sue, Aunt siara is experimenting with the camera, take a look at her site http://redgoggles.blogspot.com/ .
Momma Brooke and I love taking Jase to the drive-in because it get’s us out of the house to do what we love to do and Jase comfortably sleeps in the front seat. We watched Terminator on Sunday night and followed that up by watching Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Daddy Matt slept in the front seat with Jase during that lovely flick (such a crap film).
Saturday night UFC was great and Brooke ended the evening by saying how great a dad I’ll be, because she had to watch me interact with a friends child whom has no boundaries. I say a little reading, teaching, coloring, and no soda at ten thirty are the key to a better child. A bedtime doesn’t hurt either.

Our boy Jase is now three and a half months old. Momma has gone back to work to finish off the school year (4th grade teacher). Dad got the chance to do some, “baby bonding”, by taking three weeks from work to be a stay at home. I admit the job of a stay at home is very difficult, I welcomed the pace of a stressful job after only three weeks. I would say that the large issue was not having the maternal instinct. Jase would cry, A LOT and I had no idea why. Brooke has helped me come a long way in knowing what each cry means and what kind of schedule to keep. I love the little guy so much, but sometimes shaking him felt like the right thing to do (j/k, never did that). I am back to work, and with mom still in session we have Grandma Sue and Aunt Siara taking on the chore of baby sitting. Grandma loves going on walks and taking photos, I think it is because Jase sleeps when he is in the stroller. Siara has the added bonus of bringing two of her own rug rats along, Ainsley (1) and Vance ( 3 ) love hanging out with Cousin Jase, but they too have the needs of babes, so Siara definitely has her hands full.
