SUPER BABY

Such a big boy and he is growing everyday. Yesterday I came home and momma said, "check this out." Brooke poured a handful of cheese puffs on his table and he picked one up and started chewing on it. Who would of thought eating a puff was so momentous?

Fun mornings...Each morning I am able to wake Jase up (he's usually up already) and bring him smiling to watch momma getting ready. Although it worries me that he is a morning person I still get a kick out of his happy face. I thought that any day now I won't be able to set him on the bed as we get ready for work because he will be crawling and probably with the way I am take a fearless leap off. Just to make things fun I have put the bed on little pillars to get the extra height.

the pictures below are of the baby blues that I love and Jase in Costco laying on a polar bear rug.

my new ride

Mike and I sold the trailer that Afi Lou (Dad) left to us. I was fortunate enough to get a great new motorcycle from the trade in. Mike will continue to drive the truck as long as it stays as cool as it is.

summer is ending

It’s been a while since the last uploads and many things have happened in the Life of the Dunbar’s. Matthew has gotten a motorcycle and is loving the feeling of the environment as he drives. As the wind sweeps past his helmet and exhaust fills his lungs it takes a few minutes each day picking the bugs out of his teeth because he has been smiling the whole ride. Momma Brooke has started school again and she looks to have a good year full of great kids. This years class is the same very class Brooke had four years ago when temporarily she was a kinder garden teacher. It’s nice starting the year with familiar faces. Jase is getting bigger and bigger each day and making his parents very happy. Every morning Mom and Dad are greeted with a giant smile as Jase looks to be a morning person, dad is not happy about that. Both parents being back at work leaves Jase with a new sitter. Aminta will be watching him during the day and getting him great experience around other children. Grandma Sue will also give mom and dad a break, and watch Jase as well as filling his growing head with wonderful adventures. We are so excited for the upcoming growth…

funny food

Baby Jase got to try some sweet potatoes. Loved them and is now easily 15 pounds. Poop is not as cool any more, but his happiness is such a blessing. Cousin Allegra was in town and she got some serious baby time, she even got to feed him a time or two. Brooke and I have been taking Jase swimming the last few days to get him ready for Palm Springs. We bought a great blow up pool for the boy and his cousins. I plan on drinking, swimming, and wrestling Nick. It should be a great time shared by all.

a new week

Awe such a fun weekend with the boy. Jase is becoming a kid and not just a baby. He loves being in his exersaucer where he can stand and press buttons. Because he is only 4 months we have to wedge him in the chair with a blanket, but that doesn’t stop his legs from feverishly jumping and kicking at the ground. It is almost weird that something so small can already do so much. Mommy and Me are very happy at the growth even though I have caught Brooke tearing up at our little boy getting bigger. Jase is full of life and it is very neat seeing what the next day brings.
Grandma is taking one last day at watching him and she is also so very sad to see her hectic days go. There is hope on the horizon because I am sure we will need her help again.
{{JASE}} Thanks Grandma I love the time we spent together looking at flowers and playing all around the house. I hope that we get to do all kinds of neat new things in my near future. Thanks for all the learning lessons I will be sure to do what you said and make my, “firsts” happen in front of mommy. You are a great teacher and Grandma.

One of three great Aunts, Siara is counting down the minutes to not having to drive to Diamond Bar to watch Jase. She has been having so much fun seeing what a house with three children all vying for her time is like. We have been so blessed having the help we have been getting, a big thank you to all. With Grandma and her excitement and Siara with her creativity, Jase is sure to become the golden genius we believe him to be.
{{JASE}} Aunt Siara I am so happy to hang with you, my Cuz Vance and my equally attention grabbing Cuz Ainsley. We all get so much out of spending time together and I am glad you are my Aunt. Thanks for all that you have done, I hope to make mommy and daddy proud of me with what you have taught me. Aunties ROCK.

Friday proved to be a real lesson for Super Aunt Megan. Both Jase and Ainsley got to cause all kinds of tiring trouble. I got the to home at 3:00 and Super Aunt was on the verge of passing out. Looks like having twins are not in the clouds for this young lady. On a side note, both kids were clean and happy. Great job to the first time double baby sitter.
{{JASE}} God mom Megan I want to thank you so much for the fun time I had with you on Friday. I can’t tell you enough how much I love when you tickle my ribs. You are so much fun to be around. I made it through the day with smiles so I am sure my parents will ask for your help with me again. Won’t it be fun when I can walk?

Goin' MiMi's

Jase turns 4months this thursday and we are looking to introduce baby food into his diet. He is sleeping well through the night already, mom has to get up once to feed at about three. In do time we will consider introducing formula, but it looks like we don't need that yet.
We had a very exciting weekend of drive-ins, parties and biking. Jase is found to be a home body and not very happy with being over stimulated. With all the passing around and different locations he proved to be a little too fussy. Mom handles him well and he is able to calm down with each passing cry.
Grandma continues to watch Jase during the week and is having a great time walking and playing with the growing boy. I am sure to get a lot of fun photos like this one.
Siara get’s J dog a couple times during the week and is also having a great time. I am sure the first day of dealing with three younglings was tough, but the last time I went to pick Jase up, she was in high spirits. Like Grandma Sue, Aunt siara is experimenting with the camera, take a look at her site http://redgoggles.blogspot.com/ .
Momma Brooke and I love taking Jase to the drive-in because it get’s us out of the house to do what we love to do and Jase comfortably sleeps in the front seat. We watched Terminator on Sunday night and followed that up by watching Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Daddy Matt slept in the front seat with Jase during that lovely flick (such a crap film).
Saturday night UFC was great and Brooke ended the evening by saying how great a dad I’ll be, because she had to watch me interact with a friends child whom has no boundaries. I say a little reading, teaching, coloring, and no soda at ten thirty are the key to a better child. A bedtime doesn’t hurt either.

Our boy Jase is now three and a half months old. Momma has gone back to work to finish off the school year (4th grade teacher). Dad got the chance to do some, “baby bonding”, by taking three weeks from work to be a stay at home. I admit the job of a stay at home is very difficult, I welcomed the pace of a stressful job after only three weeks. I would say that the large issue was not having the maternal instinct. Jase would cry, A LOT and I had no idea why. Brooke has helped me come a long way in knowing what each cry means and what kind of schedule to keep. I love the little guy so much, but sometimes shaking him felt like the right thing to do (j/k, never did that). I am back to work, and with mom still in session we have Grandma Sue and Aunt Siara taking on the chore of baby sitting. Grandma loves going on walks and taking photos, I think it is because Jase sleeps when he is in the stroller. Siara has the added bonus of bringing two of her own rug rats along, Ainsley (1) and Vance ( 3 ) love hanging out with Cousin Jase, but they too have the needs of babes, so Siara definitely has her hands full.
